Abstract:
Loading effective ingredients of pesticides into suitable carrier and modifying drug loaded particles can enable drugs to have the functions of targeted delivery, controlled release, and so on, thereby improving drug effect and utilization, prolonging duration, and reducing side effects. Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) have received wide concern in the field of pesticide loading due to their unique structural and functional characteristics. Among them, ZIF-8 is an excellent material in the ZIF series, with advantages such as high BET surface area, high porosity, high stability, simple preparation, pH response, and good biocompatibility, therefore, ZIF-8 is an ideal material as pesticide carrier. This article summarizes the main synthesis methods and commonly used drug loading strategies of ZIF-8, focuses on the research progress of ZIF-8 in pesticide loading, and analyses the existing problems and future research directions of ZIF-8 as pesticide carrier to provide reference for the research and application of ZIF-8 in the field of pesticide loading.
