Progress on the development and application of biopesticide Shenqinmycin

Shenqinmycin is a newly developed biopesticide containing the secondary metabolite phenazine-1-carboxylic acid (PCA) produced by Pseudomonas sp. M18. The discovery and characterization of Pseudomonas sp. M18 as well as the identification of metabolites were firstly introduced; The progress on Shenqinmycin biosynthetic mechanism and regulatory network was then summarized; The construction of high-yield engineered strain and industrialization of Shenqinmycin were further introduced; Finally, the application of Shenqinmycin in plant disease control and possible antifungal mechanisms of shenqinmycin were discussed.
