Abstract:
ZJ40423-chloro-N2-1-methyl-1-cyano-ethyl-N1-4-(1,2,2,2-tetrafluoro-1-trifluoromethyl-ethyl)-phenyl-phthalamide is a novel insecticide developed by Zhejiang Research Institute of Chemical Industry,Ltd,China.Toxicity of the ZJ4042 against Plutella xylostella,Spodoptera exigua,Prodenia litura and Chilo suppressalis were tested in the laboratory by leaf-dipping method, and the field efficacy of ZJ4042 in controlling P.xylostella,S.exigua,P.litura,Pieris rapae,C.suppressalis and Cnaphalocrocis medinalis was evaluated. The LC50 values of the chemical to these four insects were 0.046,0.072,0.071 and 1.95 mg/L,respectively,which were almost equivalent to that of flubendiamide and chlorantraniliprole. The control efficacy of Z4042 (200 SC) against P.xylostella,S.exigua,P.litura and P.rapae seven days after treatment, and C.suppressalis and C.medinalis fifteen days after treatment, were 90.1%-96.3% and 82.9%-90.5%,respectively,at the dosage of 30 g a.i/hm2.No crop injury was observed at the dosage of the tests.
