Abstract:
Alachlor, a selective pre-emergent herbicide, was widely used to control annual gramineae and broad-leaved weeds in soybean, peanut and rice fields in the late 20th century. At present, alachlor has been banned in many countries because of its teratogenicity and endocrine disrupting activity. In order to provide the data for the ecological and environmental risk assessment of alachlor, this paper reviews research advance on the toxicological of alachlor to non-target organisms after alachlor enters the environment, mainly including acute toxicity, chronic toxicity and oxidative stress effect.
