The harmfulness caused by termites was summarized. The termiticides often used include arsenicals, metal salts, inorganic acids, organochlorine compounds, organophosphates, carbamates, acylamines, silico-alkanes, pyrethroids, heterocyclic compounds, insect growth regulators, natural biorational pesticides, and so on, especially the last three kinds of termicides may be have the greatest prospect. The inorganic and the organochlorine termicides will be replaced by the pyrethroid and other termicides in the future.
