Abstract: The occupational risk assessment is a systematic and scientific process by which the risk of pesticide handlers and reentry individuals are identified and quantified.On the basis of world-wide acknowledged theory,risk assessment methods on non-genotoxic pesticides was summarized.Risk as diving derived safe level by exposure,the definition of exposure model,reference dose and uncertainty factors were described.Finally,feasible proposals for development of Chinese specific methods,basic database and good laboratory practice were presented on the establishment of pesticide occupational risk assessment in China.
