Research progress on microbial degradation of triazole fungicides

    • Given their high efficiency and low toxicity triazole fungicides are wildly used in our country. However, they have raised much concern because of their long persistence and easy pollution to soil. Biodegradation is an effective method to triazoles bioremediation, the microbial degradation mechanisms of triazole fungicides by soil microorganisms were reviewed in the current work. In the field of triazole fungicides biodegradation, most of the research has been focused on the screen of the degrading micro-organisms and factors that have influence on the biodegradation. The studies about degradation mechanisms including the metabolic pathway, the enantioselective degradation of triazole fungicides, the key enzymes and the mediated genes in the biodegradation of triazole fungicides was limited. So the above research contents needed to be further studied.
