Research progress of the application of molecular imprinted sensor in the detection of pesticide residues

    • The traditional detection methods, including chromatography, immunoassays and etc., have considerable limitations, given the long period, high cost, and complicated operation. With the development of molecular imprinted polymer technique(MIP) and the microelectronics technology, molecular imprinted sensor technology has been established as a new pesticide detection method with the advantages of the ability to carry out rapid real-time detection, easy operation, high sensitivity, and good specificity. It has broad prospects for development. Up to now, it has been applied in the residue detection of most pesticides and a part of herbicides and plant growth regulators. According to the recent literatures, the preparation methods of MIPs sensors, and the applications of MIPs sensors combining with the electrochemical, optical and quality sensitive technology in the detection of pesticide are reviewed. The future research directions of MIPs sensors are briefly discussed.
