Recent progress in azinone insecticides

Azinone insecticides can be divided into diazinones and triazinone insecticides. Azinone insecticides play an important role in the field of pesticide because of their high efficiency, low toxicity and unique mechanism of action. Pymetrozine is a typical representative of this kind of insecticide. In this paper, the research and development of pymetrozine, its action mechanism, research progress of diazinone and triazinone insecticides are reviewed. The structure-activity relationship of azinone insecticides is summarized, and the development prospect of this kind of insecticides is forecasted.
