    Recent advances and improvement strategies for pesticide uptake ability

    • Pesticide uptake ability has always been a hot topic. Improvement of pesticide uptake ability in plants can greatly increase the accumulation of pesticides at target sites and reduce pesticide pollution in the environment. Recently, the basic principles of absorption and translocation of pesticides in plants have been developed, which is of great significance for the development of systemic pesticides. With the knowledge of transformation of pesticides and the recent advances in the field of nano-carriers, more strategies for the improvement of pesticide uptake ability have appeared. This review has summarized the research progress, methods, and the improvement of the pesticide uptake ability in plants, which provided a basis for the development of systemic pesticides.
