Preparation, development status and prospect of oil-based suspension concentrate of pesticide

The development and optimization of pesticide formulations can avoid the shortcomings of long R & D cycle and high cost of new pesticides, and have an notable effect on reducing pesticide loss and improving pesticide utilization, which is in line with the development direction of "reducing dosage and increasing efficiency" in China. Among the current pesticide formulations, oil-based suspension concentrate has become one of the most promising formulations in the future due to its outstanding advantages such as environmental friendliness, good wetting and spreading, strong anti-scouring ability, and obvious efficiency. This review summarizes the definition, characteristics, research progress, formulation composition and screening suggestions of oil-based suspension concentrate, and its future development was prospected, which seeks to provide guidance to researchers for the development of oil-based suspension concentrate or other formulations.
