Overview of pesticide re-evaluation procedures and requirements in the European Union and the United States of America

Starting with the regulations and specific practices of pesticide re-evaluation, this paper provided a detailed overview of the types, target scope, participating departments, initiation conditions, implementation steps, and data requirements of pesticide re-evaluation projects in the European Union and the United States of America. The relationship between pesticide re-evaluation and new registration, as well as the protection of re-evaluation information, were discussed, which could provide a reference for establishing suitable re-evaluation procedures and improving the scientific and operational management of existing registered pesticides in China.
