Abstract
To enrich cinnamaldehyde's structure and discover highly active antifungal compounds, 27 novel cinnamaldehyde oxime esters were designed and synthesized. The antifungal activities of the target compounds against Rhizoctonia solani, Botrytis cinerea, and Gaeumannomyces graminis were determined by the mycelium growth rate method. The target compounds showed certain inhibitory activity against the tested pathogenic fungi under 50 μg/mL. The EC50 values of compounds II-18 and II-19 against Rhizoctonia solani were 4.62 and 4.19 μg/mL, respectively. Furthermore, the EC50 valuesof II-18, II-19 and II-22 against Gaeumannomyces graminis were 3.49, 3.28 and 6.75 μg/mL, respectively, which showed superior or comparable antifungal activities to those of 4-chlorocinnamaldehyde and trifloxystrobin.
