Abstract
Study on the leaching behavior of pesticides has attracted many international attention. It is also one of the necessary data for registration of pesticides. A method for determination of metrafenone in soil was developed by using ultra-performance liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry(UPLC-MS/MS) detection. Typical methods of soil thin-layer and column leaching were adopted to investigate the leaching behavior of metrafenone in three typical soils. The result showed that the analytical method recoveries ranged from 81% to 109% for target compound with relative standard deviations(RSD) of 1.2%-13.4%. The limit of detection(LOD) of the method were 0.29-0.30μg/kg. Rf of fluvo-aquic soil of Hebei, red soil of Hunan and black soil of Heilongjiang are 0.17, 0.26 and 0.15, respectively. It's found that 99%, 80% and 99% of the original dosage of metrafenone were in the first soil column(0-10 cm) in leaching study. According to the Chinese guidelines on environmental safety assessment for chemical pesticides, the migrations of metrafenone in soils were classified as not easily mobile, and it may have little possibility to leach into groundwater. This study provided basic data for supporting the registration of metrafenone, as well as its safe use.
