Abstract
A good and sustained effect of control against wheat powdery mildew by spraying fungicide (triadimefon) with Taishan-18BC, a new model of motorized mistblower, was achieved in the field during 1997-1998. The dosage of application at 90 g/hm 2 in a volume rate of 75 L/hm 2 were suitable for the field use. Within a certain range, the effects of control raised with the increase of the amount of fungicide deposition. The ED 50 and ED 90 of triadimefon deposition were 1.32 μg/cm 2 and 2.41 μg/cm 2, respectively. Compared with Gongnong-16,a model of lever-operated knapsack sprayer, the motorized one showed labor-saved, lower dosage, less volume of spraying liquid and smaller droplet. And with the aid of airflow of the fan , the droplets was conducive to increase fungicide deposition on target plants and decrease environmental pollution. All those advantages above-mentioned suggest that the lever-operated sprayer should be replaced by the motorized mistblower in the near future.
