Studies on the Male Sterility Induced By CHA Genesis in Wheat(T. aestivum L.)
-
Abstract
The effects of male sterility induced by CHA Genesis and the differences among 20 wheat genotypes used as female parents in response to CHA were studied with a sub-sub-split plot experiment design. The results demonstrated that: 1)Genesis had a good effect on the male sterile inducing in wheat, The sterile rate ,hybridizing rate and foliar injury of the 20 wheat varieties were 99.2%~100%, 83%~100% and 2~7, respectively; 2)The significant differences of male sterility among treatments were found and the best dosage was 3 kg/hm2 in which the sterile rate was almost 100%; 3)No significant differences on male sterility were found between application stages (Feeke`s stage 8.0 and 9.0), and the suitable spraying period of Genesis is about 7 days. Based on the experiment results, the side effects of Genesis and the morphological characters of wheat for the best treating stage were also discussed
