Analysis of α-Terthienyl, a Typical Light-activated Insecticide by HPLC

A determination of α-terthienyl, a typical light activated insecticide, by high performance liquid chromatography was reported. The results indicated that both peak area and peak height could be used as index of quantitative and qualitative analysis, and that, both the ultraviolet radiation and the sequence of radiation had a great influence on metabolism and excretion of α- terthienyl in Pierisrapae larvae.
