Abstract
Susceptibility of the larvae of green lacewing Chrysopa sinia (Jieder) to 13 insecticides was tested in laboratory by topical application. The order of toxicity is: monocrotophos, cyhalothrin, methomyl, profenfos, phoxim>omethoate, parathion-methyl,chlorpyrifos-methyl>sulprofos>chlorfluazuron>fenvalerate>abamectin,endosulfan. Endosulfan showed highest selective toxicity between C. sinia and the other two pest species, Helicoverpa armigera H übner and Aphis gossypii Glover, and fenvalerate a little bit lower. The toxicicty of tested organophosphorus insecticides and methomyl to C.sinia were higher than to the other two pests. The toxicity of cyhalothrin to C. sinia is lower than to H.armigera , but higher to C. sinia than to A. gossypii .The selective toxicity decreased following the increase of A.gossypii resistance.
