Research Developments on Acetyl-CoA Carboxylase Inhibitors

There are four types of inhibitors of ACCase: aryloxyphenoxypropanoates (APP), cyclohexanedione oximes (CHD), aryloxyphenylcyclohexanedione (APCHD) and cyclic triketones (CTR). The mechanism of Acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase) in vivo was summarized. The structural and active relationships are discussed basing on the activity of ACCase inhibitors in vivo and in vitro. The studies on inhibitors of ACCase are in progress. New cyclic triketones ACCase inhibitors will be the focus in the future.
