    Studies on Pyridine Derivatives(VI):Synthesis and Bioassay of 3-Isonicotinic Amidyl-2-Alkyl(aryl)thiazolin-4-One

    • Title compounds were synthesized by a simply nucleophilic addition of mercaptoacetic acid to corresponding isonicotinoyl hydrazones, followed by an intramolecular amidation reaction. All of them were screened for herbicidal, fungicidal and plant growth regulating activities. Compound IIc and IIh showed 80% inhibition to Coniothyrium diplodiella (Speg.)Sace in vitro at 50 mg/L.
