Synthesis and Herbicidal Activities of N(α-aryloxypropionyl)α-Amino Methylene Phosphonic Acid Diphenyl Esters

In order to look for new types of herbicides, eight new title compounds were synthesized by the condensation reaction of O,O-diphenyl-α-aminomethylenephosphonates and α-aryloxy propionic acids. The products were confirmed by 1H NMR, IR, elemental analysis and MS. The results of bioassays showed that most of the new compounds have good herbicidal activities, for example, the herbicidal activity of compound Vg is as good as that of 2,4-D at the concentration of 10 mg/L.
