Quantitative Determination of Sulfonylurea Herbicides in a Paddy Soil at Trace Level by Capillary Electrophoresis

Abstract
A low level multi sulfonylurea herbicides residue analytical method based on extraction enrichment combined with capillary electrophoresis was studied. Capillary electrophoresis was very good for separation and quantitative analysis of residue of metsulfuron, chlorimuron and chlorsulfuron in paddy soil. The detection limit could be ng/kg level by an additional fixed amount surfonylurea herbicide application and the recovery of metsulfuron, chlorimuron or chlorsulfuron was >87%. The results indicated that the capillary electrophoresis in quantitative analysis of sulfonylurea herbicides residue in soil samples at ng/kg level was availabe.
