Study on the Effects of Low Concentration Cycloprothrin on Haematological Biochemical Indices and Growth of Carp

    • To evaluate the security of cycloprothrin to cap thoroughly, the effects of different concentration cycloprothrin at 0.685、1.39、2.78 and 5.56 mg/L (1/10、1/20、1/40、1/80 of 96 h LC50) on the behaviour, growth and haematological biochemical indices of carp in 60 days were studied. The results showed that the concentrations of 0.685、1.39 had no effect on the growth of carp while the 2.78 mg/L and 5.56 mg/L concentration had obvious influence on the growth after being exposed for 20 days. The concentrations of 5.56、2.78 mg/L had effect on the behaviors as ate food less and swam slowly. The effect of haematological biochemical indices of carp was very significant under the concentration of 5.56 mg/L,and the concentration of 2.78 mg/L had effect on the indices after long term too. In the poisioned fish showed that the haemoglobin(Hb) concerntration and the red blood cell(RBC) numbers and the serum sodium level dropped; the serum alanine aminotransferase(ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase(AST) activity and serum potassium level raised. These haematological changes of the experimental groups were different significantly from the control group. The death rate of the concentration of 5.56、2.78 mg/L were 30 percent and 20 percent respectively. Results show, carp have been exposured in correspondingly low concertration cycloprothrin for a long term, its growth and haematological biochemical indices were been influenced.
