    Effects of Chemical Hybridizing Agent BAU-9403 on Activity of Isoenzymes in Wheat Anther ——Preliminary Results of Chemical Hybridizing Agent Screening in vitro

    • Chemical hybridizing agents (CHAs) are the key factor for producing hybrid seed in CHAs hybrid development system. Generally the field test was conducted to screen optimum CHAs and costs a lot and reguires a lot of labour. Based on the effects of CHAs on isoenzymes, the method of adding CHA (BAU-9403) in vitro was employed to test the possibility to screen CHAs in vitro. It was proved that CHA had similar effects on isoenzymes activity of peroxidase and esterase when added in vitro to field test but the effects on esterase was not distinct. The results suggested CHAs could be screened by in vitro methods and the further work is valuable.
