Bioactivity of Sarisan against Musca domestica L. and Culex pipiens pallens

To vertify the bioactive spectra and action of sarisan, contact, fumigation and repellent activity of sarisan against M. domestica and Culex pipiens pallens was investigated under the laboratory conditions. The results showed that, for contact toxicity, the LD50 (4h) value was 3.45 μg/larvae against M. domestica, and for fumigation activity LC50 (4h) values were 5.77 and 4.24 μL/L against M. domestica and C. pipiens pallens, respectively. The KT50 value was 11.64 and 4.80 min against M. domestica and C. pipiens pallens when fumigated at a dosage of LC80. With 1 mg/mL of sarisan, the repellent rate against M. domestica was 81.82%. Excitement, convulsion, paralysis and death in turn may be occurred as the sympton of toxicity.
