Progress on Indoxacarb as an Oxadiazine Insecticide

Oxadiazines as a new type of sodium channel blocker combined a favourable environmental profile with high activity, excellent selectivity and low residue. Oxadiazines had multi-function to nerve receptors , mainly to sodium channel. Indoxacarb is an oxadiazine , which evolved from the pyrazoline moiety via the analogous pyridazines. The structure-activity relationship of oxadiazine and the analogues was described. Asymmetric synthesis of the green insecticide and the trend of development were briefly discussed.
