    Synthesis and Biological Activity of N-{5- ethyl-1,3,4-thiodiazol-2-yl}-N'-aroyl Thioureas

    • Twelve novel aroyl thioureas have been synthesized by the reaction of 2-amino-5- -1,3,4-thiodiazole with aroyl isothiocyanates, their structure were confirmed by 1H NMR, IR and elemental analysis. The preliminary biological activity tests showed that some title compounds possess a good activity as plant growth regulator, 2c and 2j had better activity as auxin, the promoting rate were 26.6% and 26.9%,but they less activity than β-indoleacetic acid.
