Biological Activity of Novel Strobilurin Compound ZJ1621

The antifungal activities of a novel strobilurin compound ZJ1621 (2- -3-methoxyacrylate) were evaluated. The results from both greenhouse tests and field trials showed that 100 mg/L of ZJ1621 exhibited high antifungal activity against Blumeria graminis f.sp.tritici,Sphoaerotheca fuliginea,and Pseudoperonospora cubensis with the efficacies greater than 80%.The compound did not show systemic translocation in leaves of cucumber,but its duration was more than two weeks.Greenhouse tests and field trials indicated that the ZJ1621 did not show any phytotoxicity to crops tested at 50~200 mg/L.
