Synthesis and Fungicidal Activity of N-(Arylsulfonylaminoethyl)-1,6-caprolactam

Nine novel N-(arylsulfonylaminoethyl)-1,6-caprolactams ( 3 ) were synthesized from cyclohexanone.Their structures were confirmed by IR,1H NMR,13C NMR and elemental analysis.The bioassay showed that they have fungicidal activity against 6 kinds of fungi.Especially,the fungicidal activity of compounds 3a,3b,3d and 3g against Cladosporium graminis may be matched with that of commercial fungicide chlorothalonil.The inhibition rate was larger than 90%.
