    Effect of Chlorfenapyr on Mitochondrial Membrane Potential andits Cytotoxicity against Spodoptera litura Cells

    • The cytotoxicity of chlorfenapyr and some other insecticides against Spodoptera litura(SL) cells were evaluated by MTT method,and the mitochondrial membrane potential was detected by flow cytometry.The results showed that the viability of SL cells treated by fipronil,diafenthiuron and chlorfenapyr in 100 μg/mL at 24 h is 14.57%,22.91%,52.53%,respectively.The IC50 values of chlorfenapyr at 24 h and 48 h after treatment were 57.56 μg/mL and 2.60 μg/mL,respectively.Compared with the control,mitochondrial membrane potential of SL cells treated by chlorfenapyr in 50 μg/mL,100 μg/mL and 200 μg/mL decreased 46.87%,57.17% and 73.31% for 24 h and the decrease of mitochondrial membrane potential is positively related to the concentration of chlorfenapyr.
