History and Research Advance of Chemicals for Controlling Rice Blast Disease

The history of the blasticides,Cu-based chemicals,antibiotics,organochlorine and organophosphate chemicals,isoprothiolane,probenazole,melanin biosynthesis inhibitors (MBIs) and strobilurins included was reviewed.The major chemicals which were extensively applied in practice and the development of resistance of the above classes of blasticides were also introduced.Attention was further focused on the research status for the mode of action and the resistance of tricyclazole,an indirect chemical.
