Preparation of Abamectin Microcapsules by Meansof Emulsion Polymerization and it's Bioactivity

Abamectin microcapsules with an encapsulation efficiency (EE) of 99.98% and a loading capacity (LC) of 37.5% were obtained by emulsion polymerization.Laser light scattering and scanning electron microscopy showed that the microcapsules had a mean diameter of 278 nm,with a narrow distribution.Comparing with the emulsifiable concentrate,abamectin microcapsules showed better penetration and translocation in the plant.The insecticidal activity study indicated that the activity of abamectin microcapsules was not better than that of the abamectin technical.
