Abstract
Emamectin-benzoate was encapsulated into microcapsules using gelatin and arabic gum as coating materials by complex coacervation method.The mass fraction of the emamectin-benzoate was analysed by UV spectrophotometry and it was found that the ultraviolet absorption peak of the emamectin-benzoate was at 243 nm.A linear regression equation between the concentration of emamectin-benzoate and the corresponding absorbency was Y=45.84x+0.005 2.In addition,the effects of concentration of wall materials and ratio of core material to wall materials on drug-loading rate,entrapment rate and particle size of emamectin-benzoate microcapsule were investigated.The results showed that the entrapment rate was about 62%.Meanwhile the quality of emamectin-benzoate microcapsule was related to the concentration of wall materials and the ratio of core material to wall materials,and the appropriate concentration of wall materials and appropriate ratio of core material to wall materials were beneficial to the quality of microcapsule.
