Thermodynamic property of the enantiomeric separation for triadimenol by reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography

    • Enantiomeric separation of triadimenol was performed by reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) on the coating-type cellulose tris (3,5-dimethylphenylcarbamate) chiral stationary phase (CDMPC-CSP).The effects of different mobile phase compositions and temperature of column on the retention and resolution in the chiral separation of triadimenol were investigated. Moreover, the enantiomeric separation mechanism of triadimenol enantiomer on the CDMPC-CSP was analyzed by thermodynamical parameters. The results showed that the ideal resolution of triadimenol on CDMPC-CSP could be achieved with the mobile phase of methanol-water (70∶ 30,V/V) at a flow rate of 0.8 mL/min and at 15 ℃,or could be achieved with the mobile phase of acetonitrile-water (30∶ 70,V/V) at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min and at 45 ℃.
