Study on physiological and biochemical characteristics of carbendazim-resistant isolate of Fusarium oxysporum f.sp.fragariae ZY-R

    • In order to find out the physiological and biochemical characteristics of Fusarium oxysporum f.sp.fragariae and analyze its resistant mechanism, the comparisons were conducted between the carbendazim-resistant isolate of F. oxysporum (ZY-R) and the sensitive isolate (ZY) on the activity of phenylalanine ammonia lyase (PAL) and peroxidase (POD),and the relative leakage that definite the physiological, biochemical characteristics of ZY-R.The results showed that the activity of POD and PAL of ZY-R was higher than those of ZY after treated with double distilled water and carbendazim for 1.5-24 h,and the differences of POD between the two isolates were higher than that of PAL.The PAL activity increased first and reached the high peak at the 6th hour after treatment and then decreased;while the activity of POD kept rising and reached the maximum at the 24 th hour, with the difference between the two isolates reached the maximum, and the POD activity of ZY-R was 2.26 fold as that of ZY at the concentration of 25 mg/L.Differences were also found in osmolarity between isolate ZY-R and ZY.Moreover, isolate ZY-R could leak more electrolyte than ZY.
