Study on synthesis and insecticidal activity of 3-(3,4-methylenedioxy-6-alkoxy) acrylamide compounds

Twelve title compounds were synthesized by the multi-step reaction using sesamol as starting material,followed by etherification,Vilsmeier reaction,Horner reaction and amidation.The structures of all the compounds were confirmed by IR,MS and 1H NMR.The preliminary bioassary results showed that the compounds 5a-5l exhibited some insecticidal activity against the third instar larvae of Mythimna separate.The mortality from 5h and 5j at the concentration of 150 mg/L reached 50.0% and 66.7%.
