Effect of profurite-aminium on neurotransmitter in mice brain

The effects of profurite-aminium on the contents of dopamine and amino acids in mice brain by intragastric administration were studied.Sixty ICR(Institute of cancer research) mice were randomly divided into control group,low dose group(200 mg/kg bw)and high dose group (300 mg/kg bw)JP of profurite-aminium.The mouse brain was taken out after the mice were induced convulsion by intragastric administration,the contents of dopamine and its metabolites (DOPAC and HVA) in brain of mice were determined by HPLC-ECD,and the contents of amino acids were determined by LC-MS/MS.The results showed that compared with control group,the low and high dose groups had significant difference in the contents of dopamine and amino acids in brain of mice.Among them,the contents of dopamine were increased 25.25% and 31.93% (PPPPPP<0.05),respectively.The results showed that contents of dopamine and amino acids in brain of mice were changed when the convulsion was caused by profurite-aminium.
