    Study on the synergistic effect and mechanism of organic bentonite for maintaining the stability of the pesticide emulsion oil in water formulation

    • Taking spiroxamine emulsion oil in water (EW) as example,the microstructure and the surface tension of EW,rheological properties and the adsorption between organic bentonite and spiroxamine,the synergy and mechanism of the organic bentonite on the stability of EW were studied.The results demonstrated that the presence of organic bentonite can significantly reduce the droplet size and size distribution of the spiroxamine EW,reduce the surface tension of the solution,increase the viscosity of the system which make the system to be a shear-thinning fluid.The infrared spectra indicated that a part of spiroxamine was absorbed by organic bentonite.The consequence in coordination of all these factors promoted the interaction between organic bentonite and EW composition and the stability of EW.
