    Determination of carbendazim and its main metabolites residues in tomatoes by UPLC-MS/MS

    • An UPLC-MS/MS method was established for the determination of carbendazim and its main metabolites(2-aminobenzimidazole and benzimidazole)residues in tomatoes.The mass spectrometer was operated in multiple reaction monitoring(MRM) mode with positive electrospray ionization.The samples were extracted by acetonitrile under ultrasonic and the extract was analyzed by UPLC-MS/MS.It showed that the recoveries ranged from 70.5% to 104.9% at spiked levels of 0.05 to 5 mg/kg,while the relative standard deviation was 2.6% to 9.5%.The limit of the detection was 0.16 to 4.73 μg/kg,and the limit of quantification was 0.29 to 4.99 μg/kg.
