Process optimization of copper-based nutritional protective suspension concentrate by bead mill

    • In order to increase the suspension rate and stability of copper-based nutritional protective suspension concentrate, the process optimization by bead mill was studied.Four factors (mass fraction of slurry, grinding speed, mass ratio of grinding media to slurry and grinding time) were investigated in the orthogonal and single-factor experiments. The results showed that grinding speed had significant effect on the particle size of preparation;mass ratio of grinding media to slurry had the most important influence on the specific surface area of preparation dispersed particles;however, mass fraction of slurry had no significant effect on the particle size and specific surface area. The optimum preparation conditions were as follows:mass fraction of slurry 60%,grinding speed 1 500 r/min,m(grinding media):m(slurry)=1.5:1,grinding time 80 min.The suspension rates were more than 90% under the optical conditions and the dispersing ability, water adaptability, water temperature test were all qualified to the relevant criterion. The results provided theoretical basis and process reference for the development and application of copper-based nutritional protective suspension concentrate.
